Introduction
Your gaming gear plays a crucial role in how you perform as a player. The most important factor when considering new gear is obviously how it will suit your needs and preferences, but there’s also the performance aspect. If you want to hang with the best players in the scene, you don’t want you peripherals to hold you back. The newly launched NZXT Elite line aims to bring top-grade gaming gear to everyone. This includes a high polling rate wireless mouse, a keyboard with magnetic switches, a microphone, and two mousepads.
In this article, we’ll give you a brief overview of all newly released NZXT Elite gear.
Lift Elite
The NZXT Lift Elite is a continuation of the brand’s earlier mice, which means that it delivers great performances at a low price. Some of the standout features of the Lift Elite include:
- 4000Hz wireless polling rate
- 8000Hz wired polling rate
- Optical switches
- PAW3395 sensor
This all comes in a lightweight (57 grams) and neutral shape that accommodates a large variety of grip styles. NZXT has also gone for longevity with this mouse. The shell has undergone extra testing to ensure rigidity, and even the rubber side elements on the mouse are made with double-injection molding, which means that they won’t peel over time. Players who want even more grip will find grip tape included in the box.
If you want to learn more about why high polling rates are such a coveted feature in today’s market, you can read our in-depth article on this, but in short: it’s more responsive and lowers the overall latency. Adding to that, optical switches eliminate any chance of a mouse developing double clicking and are a lot more responsive, so you get a more durable switch that also performs better.
Overall, this is looking like a great pick for people who want pro-grade gaming performances at wallet-friendly prices. And with its neutral shape, most gamers should be able to find a comfortable grip with the Lift Elite.

Gaming keyboards have gone through a renaissance over the past year or two. Any gaming keyboard that comes out in this day and age that doesn’t have analog switches is going to be behind the pack from the get-go. As such, it’s important for any brand that is aiming at the competitive scene to develop or include analog switches.
Inside NZXT’s latest keyboard, you’ll find their very own magnetic switches. These not only allow you to adjust the actuation point, but they also include industry-standard features such as Rapid Trigger. This can and will give you an advantage in games where precise inputs are of the essence. You don’t need to take our word for it, but there’s a reason that the majority of analyzed pro gamers are using boards with switches like these.
In terms of the actual switches, NZXT has even gone a step further and used 905 gauss magnets, which are 29% stronger than the commonly used 700 gauss magnets. This should increase keystroke detection speed and accuracy.
Switches aren’t the only thing that makes a keyboard though, and the engineers at NZXT know that. The main features of the Function Elite are:
- Pre-lubed NZXT Magnetic Switches (capable of Rapid Trigger, …)
- Perimeter lighting strip that goes around the keys
- Custom screw-mounted stabilizers
- Aluminum top case
- Gasket mount system
- Sound-dampening foam and tape mod for better acoustics
Marrying enthusiast-level features such as a tape mod with pro-grade gaming performances, the NZXT Function Elite is a very interesting addition to the world of top tier gaming keyboards.

Zone and Zone Elite
Similarly to keyboards, mousepads have also been going through a golden age. Pros and more casual gamers alike are paying more attention to the surface that they use their mouse on, and for good reason. Getting a mousepad that compliments your playing style can make you a lot more consistent when gaming, so it pays off to go for a gaming-grade pad rather than a $5 Walmart one.
In order to help gamers complete their setup, NZXT has launched two new mousepads. There’s the more budget-oriented Zone and the more premium Zone Elite, though it has to be said that even the Zone Elite could be considered ‘cheap’ in this day and age.
Both pads are liquid-resistant and come with stitched edges, which increases their overall durability.
Zone Elite
The Zone Elite has a Poron base and is made with a focus on speed while also having a good amount of stopping power. For its surface, it uses Nano-Knit Fabric, which is made from tightly woven polyester, meant to increase tracking accuracy.
Furthermore, it has low-profile stitched edges and a thickness of 4mm.
This pad is meant for enthusiasts who want a more premium pad, but what’s particularly nice here is that it’s also available in larger sizes. A lot of mousepads aimed at the premium market don’t offer extended versions, so if you love to place your keyboard on your pad when gaming, this is really good news.

Zone
The regular Zone is a pad that’s meant to be more balanced and aimed at more casual audiences. It is very affordable ($14.99 for the Large version) and comes with a rubber base that’s 3mm thick. Additionally, the stitched edges aren’t low-profile like on the Elite version.

Capsule Elite
These days, gamers do a lot more than just game at their desk. For a lot of people, it’s a place to socialize with friends and family, make work calls, or create content. For all of these activities, it’s a good idea to have a dedicated microphone. These don’t have to cost an arm and a leg, and it’ll make your voice sound a lot more pleasant.
The NZXT Capsule Elite is a condenser microphone with an included stand and a durable construction. With its sub-$100 price, it provides an excellent alternative for people who want to move away from a headset microphone into something more premium.
Standout features of the NZXT Capsule Elite include:
- Ultra-thin membrane, helpful for capturing small nuances and details
- Multi-position stand, allowing users to tilt, swivel, and pivot the mic
- Noise-Isolating outer shell and other features such as an acoustically-transparent grille
- Built-in filters (via software) such as de-esser and de-popper to increase audio quality
- On-board controls
- Level indicator in the form of an RGB strip at the front (plus an RGB strip for aesthetics at the back)
The Capsule Elite is a 24-bit depth 192 kHz sample rate cardioid microphone with a 25mm condenser capsule and a large (158-degree horizontal, 148-degree vertical) active range.
