Introduction
There’s something beautifully brutal about a 1v1 in Counter-Strike 2. It’s you, your crosshair, and your opponent’s head. No utility, no gimmicks, just raw skill. Whether you’re looking to warm up before diving into a sweaty comp match or settle a grudge with your buddy who swears he’s ‘better on LAN,’ a 1v1 map is where the debate is usually settled. We’ve sought out the best 1v1 maps in CS2 so that you can prove your skills in a variety of cool environments.
In this list, we’ve gone for ‘outside picks’. In our article on how to set up a 1v1 in CS2, we have some of the classic maps listed, but we’ve chosen to also go for some more eye-catching and unique examples.
Aim_redline_fp
Aim_redline is one of the most iconic 1v1 maps in CS. It’s sleek, symmetrical, and purpose-built for head-on skirmishes. There are clean lanes, equal opportunities, and no gimmicks. Pick up a gun, find an angle, and start clicking heads.
It’s perfect for warming up or for settling aiming debates, and the larger size (for a 1v1 map) still allows for some strategical positioning elements to enter the mix.

1v1 Aim Map
Most 1v1 maps obviously follow a similar pattern. After all, there’s not much you can change about the layout of a 1v1 map before it becomes too big. [SRS]’s 1v1 Aim Map has that familiar layout, but makes a difference with the setting.
Instead of going for a bright or texture-devoid arena, you’re dropped into a calm, starry night scenario. This alone is enough to make the map stand out from the usual 1v1 maps, but we love the tasteful way that the lighting has been done. It’s, in a weird way, almost calming.
It’s perhaps not the map for super sweaty duels where aim is the only thing that matters, but if you want to add a little bit of visual flair to your 1v1 map rotation, this is a great one to go for.

1v1 – Remastered
Don’t care for fancy graphics and interesting textures? Just want to frag out with absolutely zero distractions? CsGoat’s 1v1 Remastered map is the one for you.
This map is as straightforward as it gets. You get bright orange and grey elements to make sure players stand out as much as they can. Add to that a couple of walls and one small hill in the middle, and you’ve got a map that’s perfect for settling those ‘who has the better aim’ debates. There really are no excuses here.

TIRGO
Inspired by Vertigo, TIRGO condenses the skyscraper chaos into a tight urban arena. You’ll spawn with your go-to rifle and have just seconds before things get personal. There are two bomb sites if you want to play it slow and tactical, but you can of course also go for the kills.
The real magic lies in the map’s micro-details: little cubby holes, cheeky jump spots, and the kind of sightlines that make you second-guess every peek. It rewards the patient, punishes the overconfident, and makes every round feel like a tiny action movie with a slightly faster kill feed.
If you want a 1v1 experience that isn’t solely about aim, this is one to check out.

PIPSTEEZ
Have you ever wished Inferno was just… smaller? Tighter? More personal? Say no more, then. This map feels like Inferno had a makeover to make it pocket-sized.
You’ve got narrow corridors, cheeky corners, and the trademark Italian vibes, but it’s all scaled down into a box of pure tactical tension. You’re never more than two seconds away from a duel, and map knowledge plays a huge part. Every little pillar or crate can be a lifesaver or a death trap.
Bottom line: if you’re into clean fights, fair starts, and good ol’ head-to-head action that doesn’t waste your time, PIPSTEEZ is your new port of call.

Brewery
Brewery is an iconic map at this point. It forces continuous collisions: narrow corridors, looming barrels, tight chokepoints. It’s less about long-range flicks and more about fast, instinctive close encounters.
It’s a great map if you want to 1v1 where there’s more room for maneuvering and outplaying your enemy. Due to its size, it’s not a great option if you want non-stop action, however.

Aim_chess
They sometimes say that CS2 is like a game of chess. And when they say that, they mean that there’s a huge tactical layer underneath all the flashy headshots and fragging that’s on top.
This map marries those two aspects. It’s a chess background for an aim-heavy map. The chess pieces provide cover for when you’re jiggling, and the quirky and beautifully made background is visually different from the brick-and-mortar stuff that you usually see in 1v1 maps.
Plus, it kind of makes you feel like Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the first Harry Potter movie, as you’re on a life-sized chess board fighting for your life.

CS2 Dust 1on1
Dust 2 is the most iconic map in all of gaming. Naturally, it had to be included in this list of the best CS2 1v1 maps.
What you’re getting here are classic Dust vibes (sand, barrels, catwalks, even an abandoned car) but compacted into a tense face-off arena that’s a lot thinner than most 1v1 maps. This layout gives it a unique feeling, where there’s more emphasis on hitting your shot or making a correct micro-correction rather than flicking because you had no idea where your enemy was.
The catwalks on the left serve as a nice distraction from the kill corridor down the middle, too.
It’s an interesting take on a 1v1 map, wrapped in a familiar coating. What’s not to like?

1v1v1v1
Sometimes, a simple 1v1 map isn’t enough. Maybe you need to decide who the best aimer among your queuing pals is, for example. This Hunger Games-like map is perfect for that purpose. It has room for multiple people to spawn in a ‘last man standing’ scenario. This makes it perfect for fun intermezzos between serious matches, or for practicing more dynamic fights.
Obviously, you can also play this map 1v1 if you want.

Fy_dinoiceworld
fy_dinoiceworld is a bit of an odd one out. It’s not as clean and visibility-focused as most other 1v1 maps, but that’s a pro if you ask us. After all, real CS2 maps also have clutter, foliage, and ‘set dressing’ to worry about.
Designed as a faithful homage to the original fy_iceworld mod from CS 1.6, this map is a great option for nostalgia-inclined players, or for players who want to try a different setting for their 1v1 sessions. It’s a lot bigger than 1v1 maps, so you can also use it as a 2v2 or 3v3 map. Or, if you decide to go 1v1, enjoy the tension of the jungle scenario, where a deadly surprise can wait behind any corner.

Conclusion
Most 1v1 maps in CS2 are very similar. They have to be. A map like Overpass is super interesting and beautifully made, but it’s simply way too big for 1v1 duels. As such, most of the maps in this article will have a similar layout.
In order to get some variation, we’ve opted to go for a variety of different themes and settings, and we’ve also included some slightly larger maps and ‘wildcard picks’ for you to enjoy. No matter which one you prefer, the maps in this article are all great arenas to showcase your aiming skills. Enjoy!
