Introduction

The Lord title represents what it means to truly main a character in Marvel Rivals. It’s the highest hero mastery title in the game, and achieving it is no easy task. The difficulty in attaining it is also what makes it such a prestigious title among Marvel Rivals players.

So, if you want to get the title for your favorite hero in the game, here is how you can get it.

What is Lord in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals has hero proficiency title. These are the game’s way of representing how much time you’ve spent with that hero and how good you are with them.

Lord is the highest attainable hero mastery title in the game, and it shows that you have truly mastered that hero. As a bonus, you get a new Avatar icon for that hero, which lets the entire lobby know that you are a Lord with that character. It’s a cool way to earn some extra bragging rights and strike fear into the lobby.

All Hero Mastery Titles in Marvel Rivals

While Lord is the final mastery title, there are other titles that you have to get before you get to Lord. Much like Lord, each title has a reward that you get by attaining that title. These are all the mastery titles in order, with their rewards:

  • Agent: no reward
  • Knight: spray
  • Captain: KO prompt
  • Centurion: KO prompt
  • Lord: avatar icon

As you can see, the avatar icon is the ultimate flex, as it immediately shows the entire lobby that you’ve mastered that specific hero.

How To Get The Lord Title In Marvel Rivals

Unlocking the Lord title on a character is quite straightforward.

You will have to progress through the different titles (Agent to Lord) to get there. Each title is unlocked by reaching a certain number of points. You get these points by completing achievements with that character, such as dealing X amount of damage or getting X amount of kills. Some achievements are similar across characters (such as play the hero for a certain amount of hours) while others are character-specific (using an ability a certain number of times).

You can check all of this progress by going over to the Heroes tab, then selecting the Hero you want, and then going over to Proficiency. You will see your progress there, as well as the achievements you need to complete to progress to the next title. This isn’t limited to ranked, by the way. Any game mode can be used to complete these achievements.

Some characters are easier to get Lord on than others. Namor, Winter Soldier, and The Punisher are examples of heroes that are quite easy. Other characters take a lot more grinding to unlock Lord, such as Spider-Man and Hawkeye.

Sadly, there are no tips, secrets, or shortcuts to unlock this title, it’s pure grind.

Conclusion

Lord is a prestigious title, and the grind is well worth it. Plus, it’s a great way to flex on your friends and the lobby. Sure, it might take you a lot of time, but if you are playing the character you already love, then you won’t even notice it. Not to mention, the title can be unlocked by playing any game mode, so you can easily unlock Lord while playing casuals.
