Introduction

Your crosshair is an important part of your settings in Marvel Rivals, just like it is in any other shooter. Although crosshairs don’t make you aim like a pro, they do make things easier. But figuring out the best Marvel Rivals crosshairs is a bit different from other shooters. That’s because the game features a bunch of different characters, and one crosshair might not work for all of them.

For instance, there are hit-scan heroes like Black Widow and Hela, which might benefit from a tight and precise crosshair; on the other hand, there are characters like Iron Fist and Wolverine, which work better with a bigger crosshair.

In this guide, we will be listing all the best crosshairs for different types of characters and how you can tweak them to your liking.

Best Marvel Rivals Crosshairs for Hitscan Characters

If you’re unfamiliar with the term hitscan, it means that there is no projectile travel time when you shoot. The bullet (or whatever you are shooting) will hit exactly where the crosshair is, and it will hit instantly when you press the ‘fire’ button. Characters like Hela, Black Widow, Star, and The Punisher are hitscan.

Hitscan characters generally benefit from a small and compact crosshair. These characters also rely heavily on aiming capability, so a smaller crosshair is better for them.

A small dot or plus crosshair with an outline is more than enough for characters like these, and there’s a large element of ‘personal preference’ present here. Some players like a very tiny crosshair (making it so that they need to aim way more precisely in order to get it on an enemy) and others like it a bit bigger. Experiment with the options below and then go with something that you find comfortable.

Best Marvel Rivals Crosshairs for Projectile Characters

Projectile-based characters have primary fire or abilities that travel over time, which means when you shoot, the bullet will travel a certain distance and then hit the enemy. So, you will have to aim slightly away from the character in order to hit them. It’s similar to how snipers work in Battle Royale games.

Examples of projectile-based characters include Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, and Namor. The majority of the Marvel Rivals hero cast has some kind of projectile-based ability.

For characters such as these, bigger crosshairs work better since you have to take the travel time of the projectile into account. Having a larger crosshair can help you get a quick visual reference to how far ahead of the intended target you need to shoot. A simple circle and dot crosshair will work with most characters, but you can tweak it further to your liking.

Best Marvel Rivals Crosshairs for Melee Characters

Marvel Rivals also has a bunch of melee characters. As the name implies, these characters deal most of their damage through melee attacks. As such, these characters don’t require good aim to play. Iron Fist, Wolverine, The Hulk, and Magik are all melee characters.

For characters such as these, the crosshair you choose doesn’t matter that much. So, you can pretty much go with anything. The attack hitbox is also quite generous, so if you look in the direction of your enemy, your melee attacks will land (given you are in close proximity).

Since you don’t need to aim with melee characters (only face the enemy), any crosshair will work.  The only thing to keep in mind is to make your crosshair according to the other abilities of the character you play. For instance, Magik, while being primarily melee, does have a projectile-based ranged attack.

Character-Specific Crosshairs

Marvel Rivals features a bunch of unique characters that can benefit from a specialized crosshair. An easy example is Hela. Because she is predominantly hitscan and depends heavily on the player’s aiming capability; she works well with a dot crosshair.

Many heroes like these in the Marvel Rivals roster can benefit from a specialized crosshair. The game allows you to make different crosshairs with each, so you can use this feature to create custom crosshairs for your mains.

You can check out our pro list to find the pro that plays your character and then copy his crosshair. For instance, if you main Spider-Man, you can copy Necros’ crosshair.

Conclusion

There are some guidelines that are good to follow when you’re creating a Marvel Rivals crosshair, but the truth is that, just like in any game, it’s mostly down to personal preference. Just find something that works for you and stick to it is what we would suggest. We have listed some of the most common crosshairs used by the pros, so you can’t go wrong picking any of the above. With that said, be sure to tweak things like outlines, size, and color to match your preference.
