Pearl Abyss applied the January 6, 2000 patch for ‘Crimson Desert’ across all platforms on the 11th. This update introduces a variety of content expansions and improvements, including a special mount system that allows players to tame and register animals, an extraction feature for tempering materials, new unarmed skill sets for Unka, and a toggle for displaying sword sheaths.
| đź“’ | – Added a special mount system to tame and register animals such as bears, wolves, and lions – Introduced an ‘extraction’ feature to recover a portion of materials used for tempering – Added unarmed skill sets for Unka – Enhanced certain equipment, including Visione, and expanded sockets – Added a feature to display sword sheaths and a new night-tone correction option |
The most notable new content is the special mount system. Players can build affinity with animals across the Pywel continent—including bears, boars, wolves, deer, mountain goats, Cuckoo birds, iguanas, raptors, camels, lions, and tigers—to register them as mounts. Fierce animals can be tamed by subduing them and offering food, while some species require specific acquisition methods. Special mounts can be equipped with dedicated saddles purchased from city stables, and players can feed them directly from their inventory while mounted.
The equipment enhancement system has also seen meaningful changes with the addition of an ‘extraction’ feature that allows players to recover some of the materials consumed during tempering. This can be accessed via blacksmith NPCs in each village, where players can select the desired level of extraction down to the equipment’s base tempering stage. The equipment is not destroyed during this process; instead, it is preserved with its tempering level adjusted accordingly. Recovery rates vary by material type: special materials like artifacts or Eserion scales are 100% recoverable, while common materials like iron ore are returned at approximately 70%.
In terms of combat, new unarmed skill sets for Unka have been added. These can be viewed by selecting ‘Fist’ in the skill window. Unarmed skill sets for Demian are scheduled to be added in the next update.
Equipment has also undergone significant changes. Enhancement features and Abyss Gear sockets have been added to certain items, including Visione, and the two-handed cannon has been adjusted to trigger additional effects upon attack, with its base attack power also rebalanced. Players can now use the ‘Light Reflection’ skill while unarmed, and targeting for ranged weapons against small animals has been improved. Additionally, sword sheaths have been added for one-handed and two-handed swords, along with a setting to toggle their visibility.
Furthermore, a new item called the ‘Amulet of Valor’ has been added, which causes a pet dog to attack enemies when equipped; it can be purchased at the secret shop in Pororin Village. A claw machine has also been added to the Laughing Puppet Circus, where players can obtain lighting furniture, special cosmetic helmets, and Abyss artifacts.
The patch also introduces a new night-tone correction option, fixes for GPU crashes in Mac environments, and HDR improvements.
Meanwhile, ‘Crimson Desert’ had a rocky start following its March 20 release, with its Steam rating hovering at ‘Mixed’ due to criticisms regarding its complex control scheme, clunky UI, and a disjointed story. However, Pearl Abyss has actively incorporated user feedback since launch, delivering multiple major patches and hotfixes to rapidly improve the game. As a result, it currently maintains a ‘Very Positive’ rating with a 84% approval rate in recent Steam reviews. This January 6, 2000 patch, arriving just nine days after the January 5, 2000 update, continues the developer’s trend of rapid, live-service-style updates.
‘Crimson Desert’ is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Pearl Abyss using its proprietary ‘BlackSpace Engine.’ Players take on the role of Kliff, a mercenary leader traversing the Pywel continent to engage in combat, exploration, and life-skill content. Players can also directly control unique companion characters such as Unka and Demian. The game is available on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Mac.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
